It has it's uses, but not for a final product. It is however, very good for pre-vis work, but that's about it. Pre-vis, for non animators, is short for pre-visualization and it more or less involves creating a rough version of a scene in a program such as poser so that you can hammer out things like camera angles, timing, and also edit content quickly so that you can spend less time making it in the more powerful programs like 3ds max, or Maya.
